The Joint Base Andrews Air & Space Expo is on May 10th 2019 for DoD ID Cardholders . The event is open to the public on May 11th and May 12th 2019.
The Andrews Air & Space Expo is Free and open to general public on May 11th and May 12th 2019. Guests may purchase optional PREMIUM seating tickets for either day.
Remember Friday is not open to the Public. Security and parking space prohibit unauthorized vehicle admission to Joint Base Andrews. Free public parking will be available at FedEx Field on Saturday and Sunday, with shuttles taking attendees to the base from 8 am to 1 pm and from the base to FedEx Field until 5 pm. No public parking will be available on Joint Base Andrews. Guests should allow an additional 30 minutes to park and board a shuttle bus to JB Andrews. FedEx Field parking opens at 7 am May 11 and 12.
DoD ID cardholders may park on base all three days and are encouraged to use either the Virginia or Pearl Harbor gates for entry.
Morgan Boulevard station on the Silver or Blue Line is the closest Metro station to the FedEx Field

Empty water bottles are allowed at the Air & Space Expo. Guests may utilize them at free water refilling stations on the ramp. Bottled water will also be available for purchase.
Rain itself will not cancel the show. However, certain weather conditions like thunderstorms, low cloud ceilings and bad visibility could cancel certain performances by certain aircraft for safety reasons. Cancellations or delays will be broadcast on this website at the earliest convenience.
By vehicle: DoD members may escort as many non-DoD guests as will fit with seat belts, in their own vehicle up to 10 guests.
By Foot: DoD members who are walking to the ramp on the installation may escort up to 10 guests.
DoD ID Cardholders may park on JB Andrews via the Pearl Harbor gate or Virginia gate:
i. Pearl Harbor Gate: Pearl Harbor Drive, JBA, MD, 20762
ii. Virginia Gate: Virginia Avenue, JBA, MD, 20762
No. Free shuttle buses (handicap accessible) will only run from FedEx Field on Saturday and Sunday 11-12 May 2019. The last shuttle from FedEx Field to JB Andrews departs at 1 P.M. daily. Guests are encouraged to arrive early.
Yes, wheelchairs are allowed. Once at FedEx Field, you will be directed to handicap accessible shuttle buses which will bring you to the show
Identification which is issued and authorized by the Department of Defense to obtain access to DoD installations.
Handicap golf carts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to move handicapped guests to/from the bus drop off and pick-up locations on the ramp at JB Andrews. Service is limited to handicapped guests only and is not guaranteed.
Yes, if they are escorted by a DoD Authorized member.
Unfortunately, there are no closer parking lots available, and due to security restrictions there is no non-DoD ID cardholder foot traffic permitted through any gate.
Yes, visitors are allowed to bring lawn chairs to place near the viewing area only. Optional VIP tickets are also available for purchase.
Yes, members of the public are allowed to bring cameras, which must fit inside of a camera bag no larger in size than 1 cubic foot.
The Joint Base Andrews Air & Space Expo is a family-friendly event. We encourage guests of all ages – young and old to take advantage of all that the event has to offer. Shuttle service from FedEx Field to JB Andrews begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday 11-12 May 2019. The last bus departs from the FedEx field to the base at 1 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
A free mother’s lounge is available on the ramp for nursing mothers and diaper changes.
We are committed to ensuring visitors have a fun and safe experience during this year’s Joint Base Andrews Air & Space Expo. In order to ensure everyone’s safety, we ask that you observe the following guidelines.
Weapons are prohibited. All persons, vehicles and hand carried items are subject to search at anytime while on the installation. There is a no tolerance for fighting or protesting at anytime. Failure to follow the rules will result in prosecution and removal from the installation. Narcotics and paraphernalia are strictly prohibited. Smoking is permitted in designated smoking areas that are clearly marked. Smoking around any aircraft is strictly prohibited at anytime. All patrons are highly encouraged to wear sunscreen.
